Nouvelle escapade de notre correspondant Kevin, cette fois-ci il s'est rendu à la dernière course de la saison à Motegi. Malgré la pluie il nous livre ses impressions et re-vivre l'ambiance du paddock.

That was decided to go little day before to start the race as my mind has changed. In my image, Motegi is so far from my house is north of Tochigi pref, Motegi is in, but I found in south and not so far, expecting need 2h 30mins. And it will be difficult for me to watch the race at the circuit next year as I have an exam for university. This is the reason to decided to go! I couldn't go on Saturday so only Sunday race day. On Sunday morning, I and dad left home for Motegi on around 5 a.m. Our way to Motgei is ran some highways. I could watch Tokyo-tower and Tokyo Sky Tree, waiting the open next spring, the highest tower whole the world! It was so foggy, we couldn't watch tops of two towers...

After 2h and 30mins driving as expected, we arrived at Twin Ring Motegi!! First, sure we bought tickets for to entry the circuit and to join the pit walk. Most seats was unreserved seats, only each team supporters' seats in the grand stand was reserved seats. Next, we went to the 1st corner seat. Arrived at there, foggy so much, soon the support race Formula Challenge Japan started. Some drivers were off at between 1st corner and 2nd corner. After the race has finished been watching the podium and heading for 90° corner to watch main race Formula Nippon's race 1! In the back of grand stand, we could hear FN's exhaust note! I amazed and be hurry! It was not louder than F1's, however, higher pitched!!

I was pleased it soooooo much! To go to 90° corner from the grand stand needs 5-10 mins so we could watch the free practice in about 5 mins in 90° corner. Sure FN was soooooo faster than FCJ, To compare FN and FCJ was rubbish! FN was fantastic! Then sure I was exciting! We could watch the down-hill straight - 90° corner - hidden the second under bridge - victory corner - little the pit straight in 90° corner stand. I like it! If it was not foggy weather, we may be watching finer view. The race 1 was no rain, but sometimes really little rain, so drivers chose the tyre was so difficult. As you know the result of the race, so writing here in the happening I watched. The beginning of the race, in middle place had traffic.

We could see many overtakes and thrilling battles! I enjoyed! The middle of the race, Hideki Mutoh had ran into the car in front of his car and lost his front wing. The front wing was on the track, however, fortunately no driver missed it. And Kogure hasn't had the left of his front wing, but he had enough fast. It was so funny, I could see his front wing was strange, but he widen the lead and left his rival drivers! The near ending part of the race, Oshima was off at 90°corner. At first, I thought he had missed? but the way of the overrun is not like his mistake.

After the race, I heard his brakes had broken. In any case, it was regrettable happening for him. After the race 1. We've been to the Honda Collection Hall. There is in Honda's history for 2 wheels and 4 wheels and any others. It have 3rd floors. In the 1st floor, in British called the grand floor, Asimo and some future items. In 2nd floor, 2 wheels and 4 wheels for road. Maybe these are not known in any other countries. Dad's first 2 wheel was in there! In 3rd floor, 2 wheels and exactly waiting 4 wheels for racing!! There are some old F1 cars and Moto GP, Indy, GT and so on. After that, we went to the pit walk! This was so exciting event.

As the garages and drivers were in front of me! And the teams staffs deal some team goods! In this event, I got Andre and Alex, Saga's autographs and some team and drivers' goods! Show it in pics! I have a story, the to get Andre's autograph line was closed when I arrived, but I lined secretly, TOM's staff allowed me! The same event in F1, we could only watching the garages, but this is more interesting and exciting event! I was taking pics and running where the drivers and dealing team's goods!! I was watching race 2 from grand stand.

The grand stand in Motegi is far from the road course as there is oval track between the grand stand and road course. But it's not huge problem. We could enough enjoy the heavy rainy race. In the dummy grid, the rain began to fall and stronger and stronger... I had known the accident in the back hill straight on the monitor on the top of the pit building. It was huge accident and enough for red flag. And the quantity of water was so much. I could feel from the side of the track! About in SC time I felt little cold and tired as the stopping the race and much rain!

But sure the race was always exciting as I'm huge motor racing fan! Exactly FN09 with the water screen is cool so much! And we could go to the so near position of in front of the podium! It's may be cause in Motegi. This is so cool and not always getting such experience!

I thought there were so few fans you can see the stands. This is the problem for the organizer JRP. As you know FN is faster so much than Super GT. And FN has cool design. These are huge things for fans. GTA working well. JRP should push more harder and learn from GTA. However, I could enjoy and few people is good for me because the my last race was F1 Japanese GP! I could spent comfortable without rain and no traffic by the race in the way to home. See you for the next event!
